Now I only had a sample of this product which was 0.67fl oz. It did give me a bit of use though, so let’s get to it. It claims to be extra-gentle and I have to say – it is. It’s so gentle that I felt like I was just washing my face with…..nothing. I don’t mean that to sound like a negative because it did what it said but, it was too gentle for me. It lacked “oomph”. If you have super sensitive skin then this cleanser would be AMAZING for you. It’s of a gel consistency, very lightly scented – you could barely smell a thing and super silky to apply. It does remove light traces of make up but I think if you’re having a heavy duty make up day, this would not do the job. Again, it was too gentle for me. Does it get the job done? Yes. Was it fun to use? No. It barely foamed, frothed or did anything for that matter. I wouldn’t purchase this just for the reason that it’s not something I need. I really think that intolerant skin would benefit from this product.
When winter rolled around I was looking into getting a full coverage foundation. Foundation (for me) takes time to buy. I need to touch it, stare at it – full coverage really needs to mean full coverage but not so full it’s cakey. It also needs to make me look healthy. I am so pale and dull in the winter that a good dose of “glow” is something I look for. So off I went to Sephora because I was feeling especially snobby and was looking for higher end for some reason. The lovely sales lady found my skin match number with their fantastic hand held skin tone matching machine-thing and we were off! We picked about 3 or 4 to try out and she would apply it to my face, I would wait and see how it settled and felt and then rinse and repeat. What patience she had. Fast forward to lord knows how much later it was but I had chosen the Teint Miracle by Lancôme. This foundation is buildable but pulls off full coverage beautifully WITHOUT being cakey. It is the right amount of dewy without making you look greasy and pleasurable to put on your face. It lasted me from the beginning of winter to about a week ago and I wore it every friggin day. It did not aggravate my acne prone skin and it has about a 9 hour wear. This was probably the best full coverage foundation I have ever owned. It was so hydrating on top of it all. I don’t have dry skin normally but tend to be dryer in the winter. I won’t be repurchasing this as we head into summer because I think it would be too heavy for hot weather. Over all this is a fantastic foundation. If you’re in the market for dewy, hydrating and full coverage, give this a try – heck head to Sephora and get them to colour match you and put it on! I guarantee you will love it.
I don’t have as many blushes as I would like to. But I got this blush as a sample and it’s taken me a while to try it, so finally today, I tried it. Sephora Colourful blushes come in 2 finishes, matte and shimmer. The one I tried, Rose Petal – is a nice matte pink. It was actually way more pigmented then I thought it was going to be. A little goes a long way. What I found really impressive about this product is it’s longevity! I put it on at 7am, I just removed my make up now (7pm), and it was still going strong. 12 hours, not too shabby. It claims to hydrate, but I honestly didn’t feel any difference between regular ol’ blush and this one. It is non-comedogenic and paraben free. For $15 I think this is a nice blush to add to your collection. There was no wow factor, but for every day use, especially on those long days, it’s great.
